TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the use of the online store accessible at www.hanzoblades.com (the “Website”) and regulate all rights and obligations arising in connection with the offering, sale, and delivery of goods through the Website. By placing an order, the customer (“Customer” or “you”) agrees to be bound by these Terms.

1. Introduction and Scope

1.1.
These Terms are issued in accordance with Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code of the Czech Republic, as amended, and applicable EU consumer protection law. They apply exclusively to purchases made by consumers, defined as natural persons acting outside their trade or profession.

1.2.
Any provisions deviating from these Terms may only be agreed upon in writing. Deviations shall prevail over these Terms to the extent explicitly agreed.

2. Contract Formation

2.1.
The presentation of goods on the Website is not a binding offer but an invitation to order. A binding purchase contract is concluded only when the Customer’s order is confirmed by the operator via electronic confirmation.

2.2.
The order process consists of selecting goods, adding them to the shopping cart, entering personal and payment details, and completing the order by pressing the “Place Order” button. By submitting the order, the Customer declares to have read and accepted these Terms.

2.3.
In case of manifest errors in the listing of goods or prices (e.g., a zero or clearly disproportionate price), the operator is not obliged to fulfil the order and may withdraw from the contract, notifying the Customer without undue delay.

2.4.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Website is operated by spacepace s.r.o., Pobrezni 97/40, Karlin, 186 00 Prague, Czech Republic, Company ID 06750753, VAT CZ06750753, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague.

3. Prices and Payment

3.1.
All prices displayed on the Website are final consumer prices including VAT at the applicable statutory rate. Prices do not include delivery charges, which are added at checkout.

3.2.
Payment may be made by the methods indicated during checkout (including, but not limited to, card payments or online payment gateways). The operator reserves the right to restrict certain payment methods for specific orders.

3.3.
The Customer is obliged to pay the purchase price in full. In the case of card or online payments, the obligation is fulfilled once the amount is credited to the operator’s account.

4. Delivery of Goods

4.1.
Goods are shipped within the European Union. Delivery times vary by destination but generally range between seven (7) and forteen (14) working days from order confirmation, unless otherwise specified.

4.2.
Risk of damage to goods passes to the Customer upon receipt from the carrier. Customers are required to check the integrity of the packaging at delivery and report any defects to the carrier immediately.

4.3.
Where goods cannot be delivered due to repeated failed delivery attempts or incorrect address data provided by the Customer, the operator may withdraw from the contract.

5. Right of Withdrawal

For Returns and Right of Withdrawal, visit: Returns and Guarantees.

6. Warranty and Defects

6.1.
The operator warrants that goods are free from material defects upon delivery. The statutory warranty period is twenty-four (24) months from receipt, unless otherwise provided by law.

6.2.
If a defect appears during the warranty period, the Customer may request repair, replacement, a reasonable price reduction, or—if the defect is substantial—withdraw from the contract.

6.3.
Knives are designed for standard culinary use. Damage caused by misuse (e.g., dishwasher cleaning, cutting bone, prying, twisting, exposure to corrosive environments) is not covered by warranty.

6.4.
If a blade fails due to craftsmanship or material defect, the Customer may return it for inspection. The operator will, at its discretion, repair the item or provide a replacement.

7. Liability and Limitation

7.1.
The operator is liable only for foreseeable and direct damages caused by breach of contractual duty. Liability for consequential damages, including loss of profit, is excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7.2.
Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability where such exclusion is prohibited by applicable law, including liability for personal injury caused by negligence.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

8.1.
Contracts concluded under these Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.

8.2.
If the Customer is a consumer residing in the EU, mandatory consumer protection provisions of the Customer’s country of residence shall apply in addition.

9. Amendments

9.1.
The operator reserves the right to amend or update these Terms at any time. The version applicable is the one published on the Website at the time of order.
